"Recovery Story
By Lomed

First, I want to thank you for this wonderful site. I have no words for you how this site saved my life. B'chasdei hashem, I am sober since I started the 90 days, which is almost a year and a half ago. This is a great miracle, and I am very grateful to Hashem for this site and to Dov and to a few guys on GYE that were very helpful in the beginning of my journey.

However, after becoming sober I had terrible withdrawal symptoms. I went for consultation to Steven Friedman from Monsey. I followed his advice to start going to SA meetings. B"H, in my town there is a very strong heimisher Fellowship. I am in SA for the past 7 months. B"H, I am doing fine and at step 9 of the 12 steps. I have a good sponsor and made many wonderful friends that understand me, with whom I can share in a safe way.

My life had a big turnaround in the last year in a positive way. And thank you Hashem for this wonderful gift"

Hi all,,

Just toughing Base. Thank you Hashem that I am sober for 558 days (just updated my chart). This is a miracle. I would of sworn to you that this can never Happen. It is tough for me to be here on the forum as i am compulsive and its like another escape. This has detered me from work to much.

However I am safe, to say that B"H i am in Sa and among fellow lovely friends that we support each other and work the steps.

Thank you all here on GYE that helped take the first steps.

Hi all,

I didn't post for a long time. I am currently in SA since 1/24/16. Was sober since 2/25/15. It is painful to share that I lost my sobriety Sunday early morning after 690 sober days. I am grateful that Hashem gave me since then my first 24 hours. and ask Hashem to give me one more day.

BH i am sober for 3 days, and trucking through this painful time. Although I am in pain, I am grateful that Hashem has showed me so much love and support through many ways. This is a healing process and a journey. May Hashe grant us all a sober clean day.
